C.B.Y.O. Tour of France

Congratulations to musicians Ruby McConkey (Year 13), Eryn Otley (Year 12), Harry Douglas (Year 12) and Harry Douglas (Year 13), each of whom have been selected to participate in the City of Belfast Youth Orchestra’s tour of France during the summer.

Grosvenor’s talented quartet will participate in the tour, which promises to be an incredible experience for them, from 14th – 22nd July. During this time they will travel to Paris and play in the stunning Église Saint-Philippe-du-Roule, before travelling south to join the Provencal Festival of Youth Orchestras, playing in two fabulous venues – Collégiale Notre Dame des Anges, in L’Isle Sur la Sorgue, and Château de La Tour d’Aigues, in Provence.

The C.B.Y.O will be the only U.K. representatives present and will perform alongside youth orchestras from various other countries.

This summer’s tour comes after cellist Ruby, clarinettist Eryn, flautist Harry (Year 13) and tuba player Harry (Year 12) performed in the Royal Albert Hall earlier in the year, at the ‘Music For Youth Proms’, held in November.

Later in the summer Ruby and Harry (Year 13) have also been selected to attend the prestigious Ulster Youth Orchestra Summer Residential, from 3rd to 12th August, during which they will perform in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, and Ulster Hall, Belfast, as well as various pop-up performances around N.I.

Well done to Ruby, Eryn, Harry and Harry on their selection to participate in these events over the summer – we wish them the very best of luck in their various endeavours during this time.
