Eva Wainwright – Ulster Under 16 Hockey selection

Congratulations to Grosvenor hockey player Eva Wainwright, Year 11, who represented Ulster Under 16s in a series of matches against Scotland Under 17s in Glasgow last weekend, helping the team to a 2-1 series victory.

Eva, who plays right midfield, was selected to the squad in December, following trials held at Mossley Hockey Club last summer, and participated in a series of training sessions, in preparation for the series, between April and June.

Following Eva’s contribution to the series victory over Scotland, she will next represent Ulster Under 16s in a three match series again Wales over the weekend of Friday 18th – Sunday 20th June, while fixtures are also due to be held against England in July but have yet to be confirmed.

Well done to Eva on her outstanding success and we wish her the best of luck for her upcoming matches in Ulster Under 16 colours.
