‘N.I. Youth Panel’ appointment

Congratulations to Olivia Bryson, Year 12, who was recently appointed to the ‘Northern Ireland Youth Panel’ which will be responsible for appointing the new Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People (NICCY).

Olivia was selected to the panel following submission of an application form last summer and will sit on the panel over 16th and 17th February, during which she will advise on the appointment.

Taking part in the Youth Panel will provide Olivia with excellent experience as she will play an active part in the recruitment process. The opportunity is intended to enhance her communication and team working skills, together with development of an understanding and experience of an interview process.

Members of the Youth panel have already attended a series of online and in-person workshops in preparation for the appointment.
