Table Tennis – Mary Peters Trust Award

Congratulations to table tennis star Ben Watson, Year 13, who continues to excel in his chosen field.

At the Table Tennis Ireland Awards, held in Dublin on Saturday 10th June, Ben, as a member of the Irish Under 19 Boys’ team which placed second in the Oster Cup, Germany, at Easter, received the prestigious ‘International Performance Award’.

In addition, Ben was also a recent recipient of a Mary Peters Trust Award – a bursary to facilitate training and attendance at competitions across Great Britain.

Furthermore, Ben has been selected to play on the Irish Under 17 Boys’ Team at the Prague Grand Prix, to be held from 23rd – 25th June.

Finally, he has also been invited to attend a Table Tennis training camp in Angby, Sweden, with the Irish Performance Team during July/ August.
