'The Learnings' educational films

On 23rd August, a series of short videos were premiered at the Stormont Hotel, officially launching a campaign to assist teachers in supporting pupils who have parents that have journeyed or are journeying through cancer.

Grosvenor Grammar School was one of the sets featured in the video, and guidance on how to support pupils with a parent who has cancer was offered by some of our staff members.

Melissa McCance, one of the School’s recent Year 14 leavers, was a key driver in building relationships between Grosvenor, Cancer Focus NI and ESC-Films, who produced the videos. Melissa is a member of the ‘Cancer Focus NI Youth Parliament’ and this was where the project began.

We are very proud of and encouraged by Melissa’s dedication and wish her every success as she begins a course in Nursing at the University of Liverpool.
