Ulster Schools’ Multi Event Championships ‘23

Congratulations to pupils Cara Miller and Lucy Simpson, each of whom achieved podium places at the Ulster Schools’ Multi Event Championships, held at the Antrim Forum on Thursday 22nd September.

Competing across five events – the 100 metres hurdles, High Jump, Shot, Long Jump and 800 metres - Year 13 pupil Cara performed impressively to secure second place overall, with Lucy, Year 14, just one place behind in third.

In addition, notable performances were recorded by a number of other Grosvenor competitors, with Nina Laing, Year 11, finishing 7th in the Junior Girls’ competition, and Rory Hobbs, Year 11, placing 5th in the Junior Boys’ event.

Well done to Grosvenor’s talented athletes on an impressive set of performances – we wish Cara, Lucy and Rory the best of luck when they head to Athlone, in November, to compete in the Irish Schools’ Championships.
