Overview

Hockey is the main winter sport in Grosvenor for girls.  Hockey has a proud tradition in Grosvenor throughout the year and has seen growing numbers of participants achieving great success over recent years.

Girls Hockey at Junior school typically involves one games session and one after school practice. At senior level (year 11-14) girls typically receive one games session and two after school practises.

On a Saturday morning each team plays block fixtures against other schools each week from September to March and additionally each team competes in cup competitions throughout the year.

Girls hockey at Grosvenor has a dedicated team of teaching staff who deliver the hockey program alongside extra- curricular coaches and past pupils to each team. As a group of coaches the aim is to individually develop each player to reach their potential and collectively as a team to play the highest standard of hockey possible. We strive to ensure that pupils develop a love for their sport and make informed life-long decisions to continue their hockey careers after their years spent at Grosvenor.
