‘Brass Bands Northern Ireland’ solo competition

Congratulations to cornet player Harry Lloyd, Year 10, who was recently victorious in the prestigious ‘Brass Bands Northern Ireland’ solo competition.

Harry, competing for the first time in the Under 15 category, produced an outstanding performance to impress the adjudicator and attain victory against an elite field.

In addition, Harry has been selected to compete in the European Brass Band Championships, in Lithuania, in May. As a member of the 1st Old Boys Band, based in Belfast, he has qualified to represent Northern Ireland at this esteemed event.
