C.B.Y.O. ‘Music Endeavour Award’

Well done to Year 14 musician Ruby McConkey, who was recently awarded a prestigious ‘Music Endeavour Award’ at the EA City of Belfast School of Music Youth Orchestra’s (CBYO) Summer Concert, held at the Ulster Hall.

Ruby was awarded the accolade in recognition of her role as Assistant Leader of the Cello section within the CBYO.

Having represented the School with distinction over the past seven years, as well as the CBYO itself over recent years, this was the perfect way for Ruby to conclude her time as a School musician. Having performed so impressively during this time, we have absolutely no doubt that Ruby will continue to excel in her musical endeavours beyond GGS.

In addition to Ruby and her compatriot Harry Douglas, Grosvenor was also represented at this event by Eryn Otley (Year 13, Clarinet), Harry Douglas (Year 13, Tuba), and Katie Smyth (Year 11, Double Bass).
