‘Concern’ FAST ‘21

On the morning of Monday 6th December Grosvenor welcomed Dylan Murdock, from ‘Concern Worldwide NI’, to the school, where they were delighted to present him with a cheque for £650, raised following their annual FAST, conducted on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th November.

This year’s endeavour involved 17 courageous GGS representatives depriving themselves of their mobile phones for 24 hours, with the money raised being invested to provide sachets of peanut butter for malnourished children and mothers in Kenya - two of these sachets a day being enough to bring a malnourished child back to their normal weight within a month.

In addition to Grosvenor’s Charity co-ordinator Mrs Waterworth and fellow staff members Mr Butler, Mr Donnell, Mrs Fox, and Mr Stevenson, participants in the initiative also included Senior School pupils Abby Corbett, Yusra Eltayeb, Tinah Eltayeb, Jessica Gillespie, Annija Guitane, Jack Lamont, Jenny McCully, Rachel Shortall, Marrita Siji, Sam Simons, Lois Turkington and Claire Wilson – well done to each of them for their charitable efforts, which will ultimately prove so helpful to so many people in the near future.

Dylan Murdock, from ‘Concern Worldwide NI’, receives Grosvenor’s donation of £650.
