Under 18 Northern Ireland Schools’ Cup - ‘Player of the Round’

Congratulations to Grosvenor footballer Alex McClenaghan, Year 14, who was recently named as ‘Player of the Round’ for the second round of the Under 18 Northern Ireland Schools’ Cup.

The accolade, awarded by the Northern Ireland Schools’ Football Association, came following an outstanding performance during Grosvenor’s 3-0 win away to De La Salle College, in which defender Alex helped to ensure the team’s victory by nullifying the opposition’s chances with a spirited performance.

Ross Redman, Schools’ Officer for the IFA, presented Alex with the award, for which he won a £20 gift voucher for Amazon as well as football equipment, from the Irish Football Association, for the school.
