District Cross Country Championships 2022

Congratulations to the School’s Minor Boys’ Cross Country Team which finished in first place at the recent District Cross Country Championships, held at Delamont Country Park on Wednesday 19th January.

The team’s impressive achievement came thanks to Noah Harper, who placed 2nd individually, as well as Callum Anderson (14th), Sam McGinnis (16th), Harrison Finlay (37th), Oliver Peoples (56th), Joel Murray (69th), Jack Beacom (75th) and James Campbell (79th).

In addition, the achievement of the Minor Boys’ Team was followed up by success in the Intermediate Girls’ category; this time, Grosvenor’s team performed superbly to secure second place overall, thanks to impressive performances from Erin Cross (13th), Keziah McCullough (16th) and Liberty Molloy (18th).

Both the Minor Boys’ and Intermediate Girls’ teams, along with Year 8 pupil Cailtin Shields - who finished 11th in her race - will now look forward to competing at the upcoming Ulster Schools’ Cross Country Championships, due to be held on 9th February at Mallusk Playing Fields.
