Congratulations to Grosvenor pupil Tola Thompson, Year Fourteen, who has excelled in a number of equestrian-related competitions over the past year.

Tola, who competes for North Down Pony Club, was crowned overall champion in November following a series of impressive performances in around a dozen competitions that combine to make up the Under 18 ‘Eventing Ireland: Junior 100s’ competition, which features jumps of one metre in height.

In addition, Tola was also placed second in both the Intermediate Dressage and Novice Eventing categories at the UK Pony Club Championships, held last summer, as well as 6th at the Under 18 National Eventing Championships, held in Cork in September.

Tola’s achievements, attained whilst studying full-time for her A Levels at Grosvenor, are incredibly impressive and would not have been possible without the dedication of her trainer Claire Abbott – a former Olympic Eventer – who trains Tola at her home in Ballygowan.

Well done to Tola on her incredible achievements over the past twelve months – all at Grosvenor are extremely proud of her achievements and wish her the best of luck in her continued equestrian-related endeavours over the remainder of the season and beyond.
