Girls' Hockey - Ireland Under 18 selection

Congratulations to Grosvenor pupil Eva Wainwright, who was recently selected to represent the Ireland Under 18 Girls’ Hockey Team.

Eva, Year 13, secured her selection following a series of impressive performances during the recent Interprovincial series, between September and January, during which Ulster recorded a number of fine performances to finish second.

Eva, who plays right midfield and also represents Pegasus Hockey Club, will now travel to Poland, at Easter, to represent Ireland Under 18s in a series of matches against Poland and Austria, as well as in a number of matches in France during May. Following this, it is Eva’s aim to secure selection for this summer’s Under 18 European Championships, which are due to take place in Germany in July.

Well done to Eva on her fantastic achievement – we look forward to following her fortunes closely over the coming months.
