Honours Assembly

The morning of Thursday 2nd February saw the School stage it latest Honours Assembly in the William Moles Hall.

In all, ten pupils were recognised for their achievements: in Music, Badges were awarded to Eva Royal, Joseph Rainey, Joanna McCullagh and Charles Campbell, all Year 12, as well as Valerie Hoo, Eva Wainwright, Maddie Gribbon and Evie Bovill, all Year 13. In addition, Megan Ashfield, Year 13, was the recipient of a badge for her contribution to the Environment.

In addition, the assembly was also used to recognise the success of the School’s Under 15 Boys’, Under 19 Boys’ and Under 19 Girls’ table tennis teams, each of whom had secured victory at the Ulster Schools’ Team Championships just the previous day. The Under 19 Boys’ Team, comprising Ben Watson, Junior Close, Euan Hanna, Reece Towe, Adam Cheung and Stanley Rintoul, the Under 15 Boys’ Team, made up of Thomas Norman, Alfie Stone, Jack Bailie, Daniel Campbell, Josh Corbett and Reuben Hall, and the Under 19 Girls’ Team, of Melissa Johnston, Lily Parke, Naomi Humes, Emma Mackey, Amelia Janwkowska and Sadhika Maharana, were each invited to the stage to proudly parade their hard-earned trophies.

Well done to each of our latest Honours recipients on their respective achievements – we look forward to celebrating yet more successes in further Honours Assemblies later in the year.
