JDC World Championships and World Cup

Congratulations to Oliver Armstrong, Year 10, who has been selected to represent Northern Ireland at the forthcoming Junior Darts Corporation World Championships and World Cup.

The event, which is due to take place in Gibraltar in November, will see Oliver compete as a member of Northern Ireland’s four-person strong team at the event. Oliver’s selection comes having joined Northern Ireland's first and only Junior Darts Corporation (JDC) accredited darts academy – the Carrickfergus Junior Darts Academy - around 18 months ago. Since then, he has achieved the top grade (black) and was the inaugural winner of the academy's in-house competition, the Preston Fowles Memorial Shield, in 2022. Last year he also qualified for the JDC ‘Super 16’ competition in Coventry, which was open to the top 16 JDC members according to their order of merit.

Well done to Oliver on this fantastic achievement – we wish him the best of luck in his upcoming darting endeavours and, most importantly, in Gibraltar in November.
