Young Writers' Anthology: 'Integer'

The English Department was delighted to recently learn that the work of four of its pupils had been selected for publication in the latest Young Writers’ anthology, entitled ‘Integer’. The brief was to write a mini-saga, inspired by numbers, that was no more than one hundred words long – a challenge in itself!

Published alongside young people from across the United Kingdom, Bruno Mankiewicz and Ollie Wilson (Year 8) and Amelia Hillis and Jessica Magowan (Year 10) wrote their number-inspired stories about a nuclear bomb, a haunted hotel, the Covid-19 pandemic and a prison.

To our newly-published authors: we are very proud of you. Imagine being so young but already having your work published in a national anthology! You are all fabulous ambassadors for our school and an inspiration to pupils who come after you. Keep up the writing – and who knows? Maybe one day we will all be queuing in Waterstones for your first book signing!
