NICILT German Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Jonny Scott, 9S, who achieved joint third place in the prestigious NICILT (Northern Ireland Centre for Information on Language Teaching and Research) German Spelling Bee, held on the morning of Friday 3rd March.

Run by Queen’s University Belfast, the event saw pupils from a wide variety of schools participate, via Google Meet. Despite the depth and quality of the opposition, Jonny performed superbly, under the tutelage of his German teacher Mr Simpson, to secure a podium finish.
