Table Tennis – Connacht Open success

 Congratulations to table tennis star Ben Watson, Year 13, who recently performed superbly at the Connacht Open, staged at NUI Galway Sports Centre over Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th February.

Competing in three different categories, Ben placed second in the Under 21 Men’s Tournament and third in the Under 19 Boys’ Event. In addition, Ben reached the quarter finals of the Senior Men’s competition, where he was unfortunate to meet the number 1 seed, who eventually won the event.

In addition, fellow Grosvenor pupils Lily Parke, Euan Hanna and Junior Close also competed at the event.

Well done to Ben on the latest of many successes in the Table Tennis arena – we wish him the best of luck in his upcoming competitions over the remainder of the season.
