GGS pupils enjoying themselves during this year's Scripture Union weekend

From Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd June Grosvenor’s Scripture Union rounded off its busy year with an enjoyable weekend of activities and worship in the pleasant surroundings of the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum.

The weekend comprised a range of activities, as well as a series of sessions from guest speakers. This year the Biblical focus was on the book of Daniel, with a series of objects used to remind everyone that God is in control (TV remote), King of our lives (crown) and always with us (life jacket).

As well as these informative and worthwhile worship sessions, plenty of time was spent outside, as pupils participated in activities such as football matches and a photo challenge, while Saturday afternoon was spent enjoying the attractions of Bangor.

Well done to the members of this year’s Year 14 Scripture Union Committee who have organised events, speakers and activities throughout the year. In addition gratitude is further extended to teachers Mrs Caulfield, Mrs Buchanan, Mr Smith and Mr Young, without whose presence and assistance the weekend could not have run so successfully.

We look forward to following further Scripture Union activities throughout the academic year 2019/2020.
