Under 12 Cricket Festival

Congratulations to the Grosvenor ‘Bucks’ who were joint winners of the inaugural GGS Year 8 Cricket Festival, held at the School on Monday 20th June.

The 16-over aside event, featuring two GGS teams – the ‘Bucks’ and the ‘Stags’, alongside teams from Belfast High, Carrickfergus Grammar, Regent House and Methodist College, was keenly contested and played against the backdrop of glorious sunshine. At the end of an action-packed day of play, GGS ‘Bucks’ and Methodist College were left to share the trophy, with three wins apiece.

Standout performers on the day were wicketkeeper-batsman Peter McKittrick, bowler Cassie Pidgeon, all-rounder Chris Koorts and batsman Tobin McSorley for the ‘Bucks’, as well as Jonah Graham and Isaac Orr for the ‘Stags’.

Well done to all 22 Grosvenor cricketers who participated on the day; getting some more valuable experience at the end of what has already been a busy and rewarding season. In addition, many thanks to Under 12 coach Mr Hamilton for his excellent organisation of the event, assisted by the remaining members of Grosvenor’s dedicated cricket staff.
