Holywood Music Festival success

Congratulations to Harry Douglas, Year 14, who recently enjoyed outstanding success at the Holywood Music Festival, held at the home of the Belfast Operatic Company. 

Flautist Harry performed superbly in a series of categories, securing first place in both the Grade 8/8+ Class, as well the Concerto Class. In addition, Harry’s excellence was recognised as he was awarded the d’Arcy Cup for most promising instrumentalist.

Harry’s success comes after he was placed third in the prestigious ‘Northern Ireland Young Musician of the Year’ competition 2023, held earlier in the year.

For Harry, who is a member of the City of Belfast and Ulster Youth Orchestras, this was a fantastic set of achievements.
