Year 8 - '10km in 10 days' challenge!

Over a two week period, from Monday 22nd February to Friday 5th March, Grosvenor’s Year 8 pupils were set the challenge of completing a ‘10km in 10 days’ challenge, set by their Head of Year, Miss McDowell.

The challenge could be completed by running, walking or cycling, with pupils encouraged to send in photos as they roamed the streets, mountains and waterways of East Belfast and beyond. 

The challenge encouraged its participating pupils to spend a part of their day away from computer screens and out in the open air, taking in the wonders of mother nature, in an effort to aid both their physical and mental health.

Well done to the many pupils who participated so eagerly in the task – with the weather getting better and the bright nights arriving, hopefully they will continue their fitness drives well beyond the final day of the challenge itself.
