Year 8: ‘Outside In’ Year Assembly

On Thursday 27th February Grosvenor’s Year Eight welcomed David and Christabelle, from the charitable organisation ‘Outside In’, to speak at its weekly year assembly.

During his talk David spoke about the inspiration behind the organisation, which provides customers with two items of clothing for every one purchased, allowing them to donate the second item to those in need, such as the homeless. David also discussed how he came to set the business up and what it is doing for the homeless across the U.K.

As a follow-up to the talk, Year Eight pupils are currently completing a project on homelessness and, with this in mind, hearing David’s inspirational story will have reinforced the learning that they have done.

Well done to David and Christabelle for taking the time to come and speak to Grosvenor’s pupils – pupil feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we look forward to, hopefully, welcoming them back to GGS again in the near future.
