Year 9 Run/ Walk Challenge
Congratulations to 9R who emerged victorious from the recent ‘Year 9 Run/Walk Challenge’, contested from Monday 22nd – Sunday 28th February.
The challenge saw each pupil set the task of seeing how many kilometres they could clock up over the six day period, with their totals being added together to give the overall, Form Class results.
Amongst the five form classes, 9R’s incredible 664.5 kilometres saw them finish comfortably ahead of second-placed 9V (534.02km), with 9S (476.98km) placing third, 9N (419.2km) fourth and 9G (294.8km) fifth.
Individually, meanwhile, congratulations are extended to Timmy Smyth (9R; 64.77km) and Eva Marshall (9G; 92km), whose incredible performances saw them finish as the top boy and girl performers.
Well done to everyone for participating in such a worthwhile endeavour and remember to keep up your exercise over the coming weeks, as the weather improves and the evenings start to get brighter!
