Cricket - Ulster Schools’ Selection

Congratulations to cricketer Mohamed Aahil, Year 13, who was recently selected to represent the Ulster Schools’ XI against M.C.C.

Mohamed, who opens the batting for Grosvenor’s 1st XI and also represents Instonians at club level, top-scored in the match, played at Campbell College, scoring 27 runs and also taking one catch in the field.

Mohamed has had a fantastic season for GGS 1st XI, scoring a magnificent 107 against R.B.A.I. 2nd XI as well as 55 not out against Methodist College. He is hoping to represent the Ulster Schools’ team again, later in the summer, while he is also due to line up for Ireland Under 17s in the first match of their ‘Future Series’, against M.C.C., this coming Friday, as well as for N.C.U. (Northern Cricket Union) Under 17s in a series of interprovincial matches in July and August.

Well done to Mohamed on his fantastic success – we wish him the best of luck in his cricket endeavours over the remainder of the summer.
