Swimming - Commonwealth Games selection!
Congratulations to former Grosvenor pupil Victoria Catterson (2012-2019) who has been selected as a member of the 11-strong Northern Ireland Aquatics team, to compete at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham this July and August.
Victoria, who won a glut of Ulster and Irish Schools’ titles whilst competing as a pupil for Grosvenor, secured her place on the boat to Birmingham following the Irish Trials, held in Dublin in April. She will now compete in the 100 metres freestyle, 200 metres frestlye and 4 x 100 metres relay, where she will hope to gain a place on the podium in at least one of these events.
Very well done to Victoria on her latest success – we will look forward to following her fortunes closely when the games are broadcast on television later in the summer.
