Table Tennis – Interprovincial Championships

Well done to Ben Watson, Year Twelve, who enjoyed victory as a member of the Ulster Under 21 Table Tennis Team at this year’s Interprovincial Championships, held at the home of the Irish Wheelchair Association, in Dublin, over the Easter weekend.

Ben, representing the team despite his tender age of just 16, gained selection onto the six person team (four males and two females) following a series of impressive performances throughout the season.

At the event itself, Ben won three out of his four matches in helping Ulster to defeat Munster by 6 matches to 5, and Leinster by 6 matches to 3; securing the overall title in the process.

For Ben, the interpros was just the latest success in what has been a phenomenal season – he will next hope to add to his medal tally at the Ulster Individual Championships, due to be held in early May.
