Ulster Under 18s Girls’ Rugby

Congratulations to rugby player Mia Ferguson, Year 13, who was selected to represent Ulster Under 18s in the recent Interprovincial series of fixtures against Connacht, Leinster and Munster.

Wing Mia, who has also represented Ulster in the 7s format, was selected to start in Ulster’s narrow defeats against Munster, in Cork, and Leinster, in Belfast, before being ruled out of the final fixture, against Connacht, through injury.

Mia, who plays her club rugby for Malone R.F.C., was selected following trials, held in April, as well as a summer training programme which saw her train three times a week in preparation for the Interpros.

Well done to Mia on her participation, for the second consecutive year, in these fixtures.

We wish Mia well with her continuing rugby-related endeavours over the remainder of the season.
