Year 8 Girls' Hockey Tournament

Well done to Grosvenor’s Under 12 Girls’ Hockey Team which performed admirably at the annual Year 8 Hockey Tournament, featuring twelve teams and hosted by Grosvenor itself on Friday 11th March; narrowly missing out on a semi-final place following a third placed finish in their group.

The group stage saw Grosvenor defeat Wellington College and draw with Belfast High School, Bloomfield Collegiate and Hunterhouse College, before experiencing their only loss against Victoria College. Standout performers on the day were forward Caitlin Shields and goalkeeper Darcey Kelly.

Well done to all involved in hosting such a successful event, with Strathearn School eventually prevailing as winners following victory over Sullivan Upper in the final. Following such an encouraging set of performances, Grosvenor’s girls will look to build further on their displays when they make the step up to Under 13 level next year.
