Year 9 Rugby Festival

Congratulations to Grosvenor’s Under 13 Rugby Team which prevailed in a fiercely contested Year 9 Rugby Festival, featuring eight teams form across the province and held on the School’s rugby pitches on Friday 18th March.

Following victories over Antrim Grammar, Friends’ School Lisburn and Larne Grammar in the group stage, the team defeated Bangor Grammar in the semi-final before securing a 10-0 victory over a talented Banbridge Academy XV in the final.

Standout performances on the day came from number 8 James Campbell and centre Dylan McCabe, whose impressive displays helped the team to a one hundred percent record – five victories in five matches – on the day.

Well done to the entire squad of players, alongside their coaches Mr Thompson and Mr Smyth, on their success – we look forward to them building on this accomplishment at Under 14 level next year.
