Between Monday 9th and Thursday 26th September 2019 each of Grosvenor’s six Year Eight form classes enjoyed the opportunity to get away from the classroom for a few days when they each spent two full days participating in a wide range of challenging but fun activities at ‘Delamont Outdoor Education Centre’, on the shores of Strangford Lough.

The residentials, which saw a total of eighteen members of staff attend along with some 155 pupils, provided those in attendance with the opportunity to participate in a range of outdoor activities, such as bouldering and adventure walks, as well as some indoor activities like archery and rock climbing.

Without a doubt the trips proved both highly worthwhile and extremely popular, whilst also offering the perfect opportunity for pupils within Year Eight to bond as they got to know their peers better through the range of activities on offer.

Many thanks to the Education Centre’s expert instructors who helped to deliver the activities in an enjoyable but safe manner, as well as the Grosvenor staff members whose attendance also made the trips possible – the School now looks forward to taking an entirely new set of Year Eight pupils to participate in these activities again next year.
